I received my B.A. in Sociology from Winthrop University and my M.R.E. from New Orleans Theological Seminary. I then went on to earn an M.Div. from Erskine Theological Seminary, focusing on counseling and social work. I also completed a Doctor of Ministry degree in Marriage and Family studies at Erskine and completed my clinical training as a professional and pastoral counselor through WestGate Training and Consultation Network Services in Spartanburg, SC. My 41+ years of training and experience as a Community Chaplain, Administrative Staff Chaplain for Women’s Health, and Healing Touch Specialist for a large health-care system as well as Director of Treatment for a Girls’ Residential Home, Pastor and Associate Pastor for two congregations, Adjunct Professor for both under-graduate and graduate coursework in psychology and counseling and in private practice as both a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Pastoral Psychotherapist have certainly allowed me to follow my

heart’s desire to share in helping those who want to heal and realize their full potential mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Currently I volunteer at the Gibbs Cancer Center in Spartanburg, SC as a Healing Touch Specialist and teach Healing Touch classes there as well as at Cabarrus College in Concord, NC where I am helping to pioneer the offering of HT classes for academic credit. As an Instructor of Levels 1-5 for Healing Touch Program and of Levels 101-203 for Healing Touch Spiritual Ministries, I am able to use my teaching skills to inspire, encourage, and share in the thrilling journey of students as they move toward self-directed healing and wholeness. In my “spare time” I like to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, and read.
